Resumen:
This research project provides a brief identification of information from the last five years;
focused mainly on processes applied to the degradation of low-density polyethylene for the
reduction of plastic waste that act as environmental pollutants; applying and describing the
main microorganisms used in the biotransformation of these materials, as well as exploring
the state-of-the-art use of biocorrective treatments for LDPE biodegradation. It is also intended
to publicize and identify the importance and new technologies related to the biodegradation of
LDPE and its environmental impact.
